CardioFlux Magnetocardiograph with the Faraday Analytical Cloud

CardioFlux Magnetocardiograph™+

The CardioFlux Magnetocardiograph (MCG)is a non-invasive system that requires no patient exposure to radiation or exercise during the procedure and is intended for use as a tool which non-invasively measures and displays the magnetic signals produced by the electric currents in the heart. The design leverages over forty years of clinical investigation and knowledge developed related to the prognostic value of MCG in identifying cardiac origin chest pain1.  The system is a biomagnetic imaging tool comprising of compact magnetic shielding and a dense array of 36 highly sensitive magnetometers.  The sensor array is designed to measure magnetic field naturally generated by the heart during action potential driven myocardial contraction and relaxation.

FUNCTIONAL IMAGING

By measuring the changes with the heart’s natural electromagnetic signals, a functional image of the heart’s electrical coordination can be generated and viewed with very high resolution.  This can be achieved through the utilization of magnetic field maps and butterfly plots. 

ANALYTICAL CLOUD

CardioFlux MCG integrates with the Faraday Analytical Cloud, the computing infrastructure in which the system’s images and reports are generated.  The cloud infrastructure houses an artificial intelligence enabled analytical engine, which works with clinicians to rapidly compute biomagnetic data, generating clinical reports and dynamic images of cardiac function. 

RAPID PROCEDURE

The scanning procedure takes less than 90-seconds after the patient is positioned on the bed.  The patient can remain clothed as long as any metal objects, such as watches, belts, jewelry and cell phones are removed. A report with dynamic imaging is ready for review by the ordering physician in less than 5 minutes after the completion of the scan.

The Faraday Analytical Cloud integrates with both clinical and administrative systems to accept orders from physicians and clinical staff.  After the completion of a successful scan, the Faraday Analytical Cloud generates billing data, and a patient charge transaction can be sent directly to the provider’s billing and financial systems2
